hubby labs and i have always been health conscious. not that we don’t eat junk food or go ice-cream trips per se, but we exert effort to ensuring we have a wealthy dose of vegetables and fruits. however, with my ever-growing fascination with being able to cook americanized versions of Pinoy food I so loved eating growing up, hubby labs and i couldn’t help gain a pound here and there. Even though I used all fat-free broths, and lean cuts and veggie alternatives, one cannot truly enjoy pinoy food without any rice helpings (those carbs!).

simply irresistable!
thanks to mr. boss, we have found a way to be able to attend filipino parties without fear of putting back endless pounds. according to my hubby labs, as he was slowly indoctrinating me into this cause, this diet is usually used in military to easily lose 10 lbs. i will have to check back with him the whole science as to how one is able to lose and maintain the weight after this diet.
here’s the jist:

thanks to my sniffles and throbbing headaches, my staying in bed this long enabled me to focus on something greater than my upcoming signs of flu:
To accept the challenge, simply fill in the form in the column to your right and then commit to following these four steps for a period of not less than 30 days.
- I will suspend all judgment and will, instead, bless every person and situation I encounter, both those I physically meet and those that simply come to mind.
- I will actively search for the blessing in every circumstance and in those times when none can be found, I will trust that the blessing will be revealed when the time is right.
- I will daily express an attitude of gratitude, for all the blessings in my life, even those I cannot see.
- Whenever I feel stressed, pressed or confused, I will take a Blessing Breather, quieting my mind for a moment and focusing only on my breath, breathing deeply and slowly. With each inhalation, I will mentally affirm “I am so blessed” and with each exhalation, I will mentally affirm “I am a blessing to the world,” repeating the process at least three times and allowing my body to relax completely before returning to the task at hand.
I understand that in accepting this challenge,
there is a distinct possibility that my life will be forever changed for the better.
I am willing to take the risk.

I accept the 30-Day Challenge!
And as a sign of my consciousness of my state of gratitude,
I forward this challenge to yevka!
